Come discover the fun and excitement of geocaching\, the high-tech outdoor scavenger hunt that uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) unit!\nJoin a Warren County Conservation Board Naturalist for a beginner course to learn about geocaching and how to use the Geocaching app on your phone. Then head out in the park to find “treasures” called caches. Fun for the whole family! After this session\, you will be prepared to head out on your own and find the Warren County Geocaching Adventure caches.\n\nIt is a good idea to create an account on the geocaching app or on geocaching.com prior to the event. DESCRIPTION:This seminar highlights the benefits of native pollinator plants and encourages a community-wide “Pollinator Push” to support bees\, butterflies\, and other essential pollinating insects. Participants will learn how native wildflowers\, shrubs\, and even native grasses provide critical nectar\, pollen\, and habitat. The program will focus on Midwest native species\, bloom timing\, and practical ways to incorporate pollinator-friendly plants into gardens\, landscapes\, farms\, and public spaces. By joining the Pollinator Push\, attendees will gain the knowledge and inspiration needed to create healthier habitats\, strengthen biodiversity\, and help sustain pollinator populations that are vital to our native ecosystems. \n**The first 10 people who register and attend the program will receive a free prairie plant to start or add to their home prairie! \nProfessional Speaker:\nJon Livermore\, Conservation Ecologist; Warren County Conservation \n \nPro Series is a program designed for adults who want to engage in meaningful\, in-depth conversations about conservation. Each session explores pressing environmental issues\, current research\, and practical ways we can protect and restore natural habitats. DESCRIPTION:What is a Wild Outdoor Women Workshop? \nWould you like to meet other women with similar interests\, attend classes to learn new skills\, or be inspired to explore and connect with the natural world? If so\, this is the event for you. This workshop provides a comfortable environment to try new outdoor activities\, engage in hands-on workshops\, interactive sessions\, and guided activities led by experienced instructors. You can campout and socialize Friday night\, then attend general and breakout sessions on Saturday. In addition to learning and hands on experiences\, Wild Outdoor Women emphasizes the importance of fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all participants. Social gatherings\, group discussions\, and networking opportunities allow women to connect\, share experiences\, and build lasting friendships while breaking barriers and shattering stereotypes. \nWho Can Attend? \nWomen 12 & older are invited to participate in this event. Come with your best friend\, mom\, daughter\, sister\, or come alone to meet new friends with similar interests! \nHow Do I Register? \nFill out the enclosed registration form and pay via the MyCountyParks Link. The registration fee is $75 and includes all activities\, meals\, and a Wild Outdoor Women gift. Registration deadline is May 22\, 2026\, but you will want to register as soon as possible since sessions are filled on a first-come\, first-served basis. DESCRIPTION:Have some fishing fun with us! Bring the family out to participate in the art of fishing. The fishing competition will take place at Lester Pond. There will be awards\, door prizes\, and a free fish-cleaning demonstration. Bring your own pole or borrow one of ours. Bait will be provided. You will also be able to try fish bites cooked by the Izaak Walton League. Fish will be fried in peanut oil. It’s FREE — join us! A fishing license is not required for participants at Kid’s Fish Day. Please register each child so we can plan for bait and materials! This program is put on by Friends of Warren\nCounty Conservation and the Warren County Izaak Walton League. \nRegistration opens April 6th\, 2026.
