Then head out in the park to find “treasures” called caches. Fun for the whole family! After this session you will be prepared to head out on your own and find the Geocaching Mineral Adventure caches hidden in Warren County Parks. \nThis activity is free but please register by Tuesday\, April 23rd. DESCRIPTION:Weather patterns\, forecasts\, severe weather\, how can you understand all of it to make good plans for your day or week? Some of the terms used with meteorology can be confusing! Let’s decipher them together with Brad Green! \nYou may have already been utilizing Brad’s expertise if you’ve ever referenced “The Off the Cuff Weather Guy” on Facebook. Brad Green is also a meteorologist for the U.S. Air Force. During this program\, he will teach us about understanding the weather-world “lingo” as well as how meteorologists pay attention to patterns to make educated predictions of what weather is headed our way. \nThis program is family friendly\, but some terms may go over really young children’s heads. \n*Please register by March 18 so we know how many people to expect!

You will be provided with all the tools and instructions to make your own rain barrel for your yard. Bonus that you get to work with power tools! Please make sure that your vehicle can transport the finished 55 gallon large barrel. The cost is $50 per barrel. Space is limited to 12 participants. Payment is due by March 4 to secure your spot. There is a morning and an afternoon session this year\, to try to accommodate more people\, this event is for the afternoon. \n* Each person is limited to 1 barrel. You will learn the skills to make additional barrels on your own. This ensures that we can reach as many people as possible for these classes. You are welcome to bring a support person to help you with your barrel. You don’t need to register them\, but we will ask if you are bringing someone before the program.

DESCRIPTION:Bring your thinking caps for this hidden heart-hunt adventure\, we’re going to put your puzzle-solving skills to the test with a scavenger hunt. Your job will be to find 10 hearts both inside and outside the nature center. You will be given clues to find each of the hearts. Each clue will be about a living thing. You will need to figure out what living thing that is and where it is. At each heart there will be one piece you will need to pick up and take with you for a craft. Are you up for the challenge? \nThis program is great for the whole family\, the targeted age range will be 7 to 10-year-olds. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
