SUMMARY:Halloween Hike: How to Meet Your Dragon
DESCRIPTION:Head on out to the Annett Nature Center for our annual Halloween Hike. This non-scary hike is educational and fun for the whole family. You will be guided along the trail to meet different characters. After the hike you can make a craft and enjoy some treats. The cost is $5 per person and those under 3 are free. \n**Registration is required. \n**Hikes leave the nature center at 6:30\, 6:40\, 6:50\, 7:00\, 7:10\, 7:20\, and 7:30.\n \n**Please arrive at the Annett Nature Center 5-10 minutes early to get checked in. The hikes leave the nature center at the scheduled times. In order to maintain the schedule throughout the entire night\, we will not hold hikes. If you arrive late for your scheduled time\, we will do our best to get you into the next open time\, however that may be at the end of the night. It takes place annually in June!\nCome out and help us celebrate National Mud Day with an invitation to get muddy and enjoy exploring mud with your kids! Discover\, or rediscover\, the messy joy that comes with a good mud pile. We will be watering down a mud pit at the Annett Nature Center to celebrate this holiday. You can observe this festive day in any way you like\, make a mud pie\, have a mud bath\, or a mud mask!\n\nGet as muddy as you can\, we’ll have a hose available for a quick rinse-off after you are done enjoying yourself. Share your photos and tag us on Instagram or Facebook. You will want to wear clothing and shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty or becoming your “mud clothes.” \n\n*This program will be canceled if we are under drought conditions*\nRegistration is not required but is encouraged especially to receive updates regarding the program.

If so\, this is the event for you. This workshop provides a comfortable environment to try new outdoor activities\, engage in hands-on workshops\, interactive sessions\, and guided activities led by experienced instructors.  You can campout and socialize Friday night\, then attend general and breakout sessions on Saturday. (In addition to learning and hands on experiences\, Wild Outdoor Women emphasizes the importance of fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all participants. Social gatherings\, group discussions\, and networking opportunities allow women to connect\, share experiences\, and build lasting friendships while breaking barriers and shattering stereotypes.) \nSession Information?\nThis year you can choose from sessions including: Evening Glow Canoeing\, Sunrise Yoga\, Snare/Trapping\, Shooting Sports\, Soap Making\, Blank Park Zoo\, Canning/Jam Making\, Eco-Friendly Painting\, Brew Your Own Kombucha\, Tea Mixology\, Flower Arrangement\, and Park Exploration. \nWho Can Attend?\nWomen 12 & older are invited to participate in this event. Come with your best friend\, mom\, daughter\, sister\, or come alone to meet new friends with similar interests! \nHow Do I Register?\nFill out the registration form and return it with payment. The registration fee is $65 and includes all meals\, activities\, and a Wild Outdoor Women gift. Registration deadline is May 12\, 2025\, but you will want to register as soon as possible since sessions are filled on a first-come\, first-served basis.
