SUMMARY:Halloween Hike: Catch ’em on the Trail
DESCRIPTION:Head on out to the Annett Nature Center for our annual Halloween Hike. This non-scary hike is educational and fun for the whole family. You will be guided along the trail to meet different characters. After the hike you can make a craft and enjoy some treats. The cost is $5 per person\, and those under 3 are free. \n**Registration is required. \n**Hikes leave the nature center at 6:30\, 6:40\, 6:50\, 7:00\, 7:10\, 7:20\, and 7:30. \n**Please arrive at the Annett Nature Center 5-10 minutes early to get checked in. The hikes leave the nature center at the scheduled times. In order to maintain the schedule throughout the entire night\, we will not hold hikes. If you arrive late for your scheduled time\, we will do our best to get you into the next open time\, however that may be at the end of the night. We do have a maximum number of hikers per group time to avoid overcrowding\, and to make sure everyone can hear at each stop on the trail.* \nAfter registering\, you will receive an email a few additional questions and a way to pay online.

DESCRIPTION:Healthy grasslands and wetlands provide critical habitat for wildlife\, improve water quality\, and support resilient landscapes. Managing land for healthy habitat can look different on every property\, and come with plenty of questions. Knowing where to start and what help is out there can be challenging. \nJoin us for a conversation about habitat management. We’ll explore remnant prairie management\, grassland reconstruction\, wetland restoration\, and federal and state programs available to help landowners accomplish their conservation goals. \nThis program is designed to be a conversation\, not just a presentation. Bring your questions\, experiences\, and even challenges you’re facing on your own property for an opportunity to talk with a conservation professional and learn from others in the room. \nWhether you manage a few acres or simply want to better understand Iowa’s grasslands and wetlands\, all are welcome to join the discussion. \nProfessional Speaker:\nJonathan Jones; Private Lands Biologist\, Iowa DNR \n \nPro Series is a program designed for adults who want to engage in meaningful\, in-depth conversations about conservation.
