SUMMARY:Pro Series: Prescribed Fire
DESCRIPTION:Discover how fire can be one of the most powerful tools for renewal. From conservation professionals to private landowners\, more people are recognizing the ecological benefits of prescribed fire and are turning to fire to promote native plant diversity\, restore prairies and forests\, enhance wildlife habitat\, and promote healthy\, diverse landscapes. \nIn this presentation\, you’ll learn about the history of fire on the land\, why prescribed burns are an essential management practice\, and how burns are safely planned and carried out. Whether you’re curious about conservation or interested in managing your own property\, this program will provide valuable insights into working with fire instead of against it. \nWhether you’re new to the topic or have experience with land management\, we welcome your questions and perspectives as part of the conversation. \nTanner Donovan\, Natural Resource Specialist for Madison County Conservation\, will be our featured Professional for this presentation. \n \nPro Series is a program designed for adults who want to engage in meaningful\, in-depth conversations about conservation. Each session explores pressing environmental issues\, current research\, and practical ways we can protect and restore natural habitats. Participants will have the opportunity to share ideas\, ask questions\, and connect with like-minded individuals who are passionate about conservation. \nRegistration is encouraged\, but not required.
