The word is out!Over the past few years the number of people that visit the Annett Nature Center has been steadily increasing. Have you been one of those visitors? Many school groups have been using the facility, as well as civic organizations and private rentals. School groups visit the Annett Nature Center on field trips for a day of environmental education and new adventures. Many different activities can occur when a class comes to visit. Some students fish at Lester Pond while others may take a nature hike or try to find that special bird through a pair of binoculars. The staff members at the Annett Nature Center take great pride in offering students new adventures and exposure to the natural world around us. Garden clubs, church groups, youth groups and even foreign exchange students have found their way to the Annett Nature Center. Have you found it yet? Many of the civic groups in the area have used the Annett Nature Center for a unique and interesting place to host a meeting or get-together. Recently, visitors from Iowa’s sister state of Yamanashi, Japan came to the Annett Nature Center for a day of fun and to learn about our local flora and fauna. The Annett Nature Center has been the site for many special occasions. Weddings, class reunions, family holidays and graduation open houses, are a few of the activities that people have chosen to host at the Nature Center. Where will your next get-together take place? The Nature Center was designed to host many different activities for a variety of occasions as well as the environmental education programs. Many people in many different ways are using and supporting the Annett Nature Center. Are you? Enclosed is a membership form for the Friends of Warren County Conservation.
